In-person interaction is critial
A 100% remote work situation is a great solution for a global pandemic, but it’s not necessarily the best long-term solution for many companies, research shows. Several large studies suggest that some amount of ongoing in-person interaction among employees or teams is critical.
These studies show that face-to-face interactions often lead to increased engagement, commitment, support, and cooperation. That’s why many technology companies that have a primarily remote workforce either still maintain an office or deliberately create opportunities for employees to meet face-to-face on a regular basis.
